Introduction
An appraisal of the literature suggests that a wealth of cases have already been published. Perhaps the best conclusion to be drawn from the currently available data is that most patients with Lyme disease should be taking longer courses of treatment and be retreated.

For too long, arguments about which diagnostic tests have obscured the most important issue in Lyme disease management, namelyw, patients remain at risk of underdiagnosis and undertreatment.
