An appraisal of the
literature suggests that a wealth of cases have already been published.
Perhaps the best conclusion to be drawn from the currently available
data is that most patients with Lyme disease should be taking longer
courses of treatment and be retreated.
For too long, arguments about which diagnostic tests have obscured
the most important issue in Lyme disease management, namelyw, patients
remain at risk of underdiagnosis and undertreatment.
