Case 66: A second patient progressed to complete heart block requiring a pacemaker despite both oral and intravenous antibiotic. Pubmed

Cased 67: 18 patients with memory difficulty, minor depression, somnolence, or headaches months to years after classic presentions. All were normal or improved within 1 to 2 years. Pubmed

Cases 68: 5 children with memory impairment, irritability and somnolence behavioral changes, forgetfulness, declining school performance, headache or fatigue and in two cases a partial complex seizure disorder were observed in a series of five children at a university referral center ill. Symptoms started near the onset of infection or months after a classic Lyme disease presentation. Two had white cell in their spinal tap and three did not. All 5 gradually improved after intravenous ceftriaxone treatment. Pubmed

 

Cases 69: In the recently completed NIH clinical trials, individuals with chronic Lyme disease were as sick as individuals with congestive heart failure and sicker than diabetic and heart attack individuals. Pubmed
